You can find the movie "아빠는 딸" on Netflix or Apple TV Korea, or on YouTube.
The reason I think this movie would be really helpful for Korean learners is because the story is about a high school girl and her office worker dad. It’s a great way to pick up modern slang that young people use and professional terms that are common in a work setting. Plus, it gives a sneak peek into both Korean school life and work culture, which will be a good opportunity to learn about the Korean culture as well.
As for the storyline, the movie follows a high school girl and her office worker dad, whose relationship has become strained lately. One day, while arguing under a mysterious 은행나무(ginkgo tree,) they accidentally make a wish, and the next thing they know, their bodies get switched. The two are forced to live each other’s lives for a week and navigate the challenges of being in each other's shoes (or bodies.)
Above all, the movie is lighthearted and not too serious (and quite funny too!), which makes it all the more easy to understand and fun to study with. It also includes many expressions commonly used in everyday life. That’s why I think it can be a helpful resource for your studies 🙂
