Official copies are physical paperbacks printed in Korea by the publisher, Darakwon. In Korea, you can purchase them easily at the bookstores and sellers listed above. For overseas readers, the process is a bit different. Official copies are shipped by sea from Korea to Amazon’s U.S. hub, so initial stocking takes time.

If Amazon runs out of stock, the publisher must ship new inventory again, which can lead to temporary unavailability. In addition, Amazon may not deliver official copies to certain countries. To make the books more accessible internationally, the publisher also released Print-On-Demand (POD) versions. With POD, Amazon prints and binds the book when you place an order through Amazon KDP.

The content is exactly the same, but some physical details differ. For example, official paperbacks have front and back flaps, while POD versions do not. For the workbooks, official copies are printed in color, whereas POD versions are printed in black and white. (Other POD books are printed in color.)

Since the content is identical, there’s absolutely no disadvantage to using the POD version!

You can tell by checking “Product Details” section.

1) POD has the ASIN number, while the official copy has the ISBN 10 Number.

2) You can also check the “Publisher” information on the details. For POD versions, it usually says “Amazon” or “Independently Published.” For the official copies, it will say “Darakwon” as the publisher.
